In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the New Bedford Regional Airport will remain OPEN, with some temporary restrictions. Essential Airport functions, including Air Traffic Control Services, Airport Security Monitoring, Daily Airfield Inspections, and Daily AOA Perimeter/Wildlife Checks will continue as normal. The City of New Bedford is implementing plans, based on guidance from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC, to limit individuals from congregating, including restrictions on restaurants and bars. The Airport Grille will remain closed until further notice is received from the Governor’s Office. Airport Personnel will continue sanitizing restrooms and disinfecting common areas within the Terminal Building. However, the Main Terminal will be restricted to Avis/Budget customers, Cape Air passengers, and/or individuals with Official Airport Business ONLY. All other guests are encouraged to avoid utilizing Airport common areas at this time. If you are displaying symptoms of the COVID-19 virus or have been in proximity with someone that has been positively confirmed for the virus, please do not visit the Airport under any circumstance. This proactive measure will help to slow transmission of the virus and ensure the health of Airport employees & guests. Please contact airport businesses directly for specific services rendered.
